The first annual Summit Hockey Shop playoff beard contest was a huge success with three very enthusiastic and resourceful contestants. The battle to win a Trilage composite hockey stick was intense and the contestants used up all the ammo in their arsenal. When the Mellon Arena scoreboard counted down to 0:00 and Detroit had won the Stanley Cup the voting was officially over. The shocking result was a 3-way draw.
