Phoenix Firebirds Peewee Tier 2 team takes the Silver medal at the USA Hockey National Championships. Affton Americans beat the Firebirds 2-1 in the final. The Firebirds outshot the Americans 24-23 and were penalized only three times to Affton's seven. The Firebirds end the season with a record of 41-20-4 and earn the highest Nationals medal in Desert Youth Hockey Association history.
