Adult Hockey Skills
Every Tuesday from 9:40 PM - 11:30 PM at Oceanside Ice Arena.
Runs year-round, jump in anytime and be ready to rock
Cost is $20 per session or purchase 10-session punch card for $150
Arrive early- Class is limited to the first 40 players and 6 goalies. No reservations or call-ins allowed.
We need goalies! We pay $10 to the first 4 goalies at each session. Goalies must stay for entire session to qualify.
Program Objectives:
- Teach the fundamentals of hockey to athletes with little or no hockey/ skating experience
- Improve the skills of novice and intermediate players
- Challenge and encourage each player with a positive, dynamic session each week
- Provide a fun and structured environment for enjoying the great sport of hockey
Session Format:
- Power Skating - 20 min
- Puck Skills - 40 min
- Small area games / teamplay - 20 min
- Scrimmage / Shootout - 20 min
- Over 1.5 Hours of Total Ice Time!
Other:
- Summit Hockey Shop is open late on Tuesdays until 10:00 pm so come on in and get your skates sharpened
- Women are always welcomed - typical session includes 4-6 women and 25 men
- Player instruction provided by Scott Ferris, Garrett Lachvayder
- Goalie instruction provided by Ray Smith
